Supported living for adults with complex needs 18 - 65

Welcome

FSCS specialises in providing individual services for vulnerable Young People aged 16 to 21, who are in care or are going through the transition of Leaving Care. Our principal aims are, the provision of high quality shared living and community-based support services for Young People with a broad spectrum of needs.

Who we are

Fresh Start Care Services (FSCS) recognises that difficulties exist in identifying and accessing resources appropriate to the needs of vulnerable Young People and Care Leavers.

We believe that the basic need for secure and safe accommodation is fundamental to the personal and educational development of Young People. When looking to the future, vulnerable Young People who may have additional needs are most likely to benefit from highly supportive semi-independent accommodation.

FSCS specialises in supporting vulnerable Young People from 16+. Support includes, but not limited to the following:

  • Young People leaving care.
  • Young People in need of settled accommodation.
  • Young People requiring necessary skills to achieve their independence.
  • Pregnant Young People.
  • Young People seeking asylum, refugees and unaccompanied minors
  • Young People in Justice System needing gradual rehabilitation into the community.

We work conscientiously with our local and the surrounding area Education and Training providers to ensure that Young People placed with us, are successfully placed in education or training according to their wishes, skills, aspirations and dreams.

At present, we are working closely with the IC Training Centre in Ilford and other providers to ensure that our Young People are in appropriate training, with the hope of gaining employments.

There are enough members of staff, working in the unit at any particular time. For example:

  • The house is covered 24 hours a day including a sleep-in staff.
