FSCS specialises in providing individual services for vulnerable Young People aged 16 to 21, who are in care or are going through the transition of Leaving Care. Our principal aims are, the provision of high quality shared living and community-based support services for Young People with a broad spectrum of needs.
When you visit FreshStart Care you will see first hand the excellence of our home design, and the comfort and style of our interior spaces, but you will also be struck by something that cannot be fully designed out, something that requires a far more subtle and concerted effort, the creation of a spirit of togetherness, of companionship and friendship.
There are enough members of staff, working in the unit at any particular time. For example:
The referring Local Authority will be charged a weekly fee. In the case of an emergency referral, the fee will be higher. The fee will remain Emergency until all the appropriate Paperwork has been received and a new Risk Assessment has been completed.
On arrival, each Young Person are given information on the local area, including
shops,
places of religious worship, Schools, Colleges, Community organisations, Libraries,
Sport and other Recreational activities.
All Young People are instructed on the use of appliances and emergency procedures...
FSCS’ Vision is to ensure that every Young Person placed with us, achieves their
full potentials, where beyond the sky is their limits.
Our Value is to respect and treat every Young Persons in our care, as individuals
and
support them in the most dignified way to achieve their best outcomes.
Young People who are new arrivals in the Country will be given all the extra support that is needed and will be checked on a daily basis to help with the settling in process and to support the Young Person in gaining the necessary basic living skills needed to live independently, in what may be, to the Young Person, an alien environment.
The Key Worker will arrange a suitable time for escorting the Young Person to register with a GP, Dentist and/or any other relevant Health Care services. The Key Worker will assist on an ongoing basis with any issues that arise whilst living in the accommodation.
The Manager will provide the Young Person with their initial weekly allowance.
When you arrive at the Home, the staff will greet you and seat you at the waiting room. We will discuss your personal requirements and needs so to understand how to support you better.
